Condition: Excellent. Cream flannel skirt
has some light gray smudges, most are near the hem. The original velvet
trim has been removed and replaced (pink at neckline and belt).

Comments: The two piece ensemble offered
for sale is a masterpiece of hand work. (Straw hat shown with this suit is item #1773). The surface decorations are beautiful
and opulent: soutache worked as trailing tulips, lavish raised silk embroidery,
oversized, tasseled heart medallions, embroidered decorative buttons and three
dimensional crochet flowers which meander over a mesh trellis. This
Edwardian walking suit is a an early 20th century museum-quality show stopper!
